Burton Clean Up Days

Burton is the world’s largest snowboard manufacturer. Every year, employees and friends of the company gather for the BURTON Clean Up Days to clear trash from slopes, parks, and beaches. Because a joint event was impossible in 2021 due to Covid, a social media campaign motivated people to clean up on their own. Let’s keep our playgrounds clean!

The core of the campaign was a short animation. An easily flowing narration conveys the message in a fun way, while bold shapes and a retro color palette mix into a quirky but clear style. The project was published across social media, the Burton website, YouTube, and on in-store screens.
For every post shared with the hashtag #burtoncleanupdays, BURTON partnered with One Tree Planted to plant a tree. This resulted in 617 planted trees, over 13,000 page views, and over 370,000 total impressions worldwide. The animation was created in 16:9, 1:1 and 9:16 formats.
