Stadt Wien - MA 18

In long-term collaboration with the City of Vienna’s Department of Urban Planning and Development (MA 18), a series of animated explainer videos was created. Since comprehensive planning processes, systemic interdependencies, and long-term transformations of urban space are often abstract and hard to grasp, the goal was clarity and accessibility.

In every stage of the project, complex relationships were broken down into an understandable level - from editorial scriptwriting and storyboarding to design and animation. Clear motion design and visual storytelling were used to make topics such as the Productive City, city logistics, mobility, and Smart City tangible.

This approach created an accessible entry point for laypeople while providing a welcome overview for experts. Three of the four videos were produced multilingually in German and English. It was a pleasure to create this explainer video series and therefore actively contribute to the development and improvement of our City of Vienna.
