Diversity of Cultural Expressions
LOAD VIMEO VIDEO

The 2005 UNESCO Convention is a legally binding international treaty that protects the diversity of cultural expressions as a global common good. To mark the 20th anniversary of the Convention, an animated explainer video was produced on behalf of the UNESCO Commissions of Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, providing an overview of its history and current significance.

The animation communicates the concrete impact of this complex legal subject in an accessible manner. The content and script were developed in close cooperation with the clients. A graphic style that closely approaches a level of pure form helps to reflect the global diversity of this topic. Fluid motion design leads from one visual metaphor to the next. The project was produced in three languages: German, English, and French.
